To bring the holiday spirit to Puerto Rico in an unforgettable way, this campaign reimagined Zafiro’s Old San Juan location as Santa’s official workshop — located right in the North Pole. The idea was to blur the line between fantasy and reality, making it seem like the store had magically transported north for the season.
With a whimsical tone and a warm, magical glow, the visuals were crafted to feel like a live-action Christmas storybook. The real storefront was transformed with falling snow, glowing decorations, and cozy details, creating a believable winter wonderland in a place that’s never seen snow. Each shot was built to feel enchanted yet grounded in Zafiro’s brand personality.
Filming took place over two nights — one for capturing performance and another entirely for clean plates, texture passes, and VFX reference. Exterior elements were fully built in 3D, including rooftops, a chimney (that replaced bathroom doors), snowfall, and a functional toy train running through the store. VFX integration blended practical and digital elements to create a seamless transformation. The final piece was elevated with a voiceover by Nelson Bermejo, whose rich, theatrical tone added warmth and authenticity — turning a branded campaign into a holiday short film experience. The entire project was executed and composited in-house at El Arenero.
More than just a seasonal promo, this was a proof of concept for what VFX can achieve for local brands. The project showcased how storytelling, visual effects, and strong creative direction can create emotional resonance and viral interest — even in a 30-second format.
